IR-8
System Description
The digital infrared language distribution system is a system that wirelessly transmits audio signals through infrared radiation. It can be used in simultaneous interpretation systems for international conferences where multiple languages are required. In order to ensure that all participants can understand the discussion, interpreters provide simultaneous translations of the speaker’s remarks. These simultaneous translations are broadcast to various corners of the conference venue, and delegates can select their respective languages and listen through headphones. The system can also be used for music transmission (mono and multi-channel).
